I had the opportunity to take part in a challenge for Black and White Photography Magazine, learning from professional photographer Tim Clinch. The aim of the day was to create black and white still life images using a selection of random objects, the kind of thing which you could probably find laying around your house somewhere! It was challenging as the subjects were different from what I usually focus on. Despite this the day was really inspiring, and has left me wanting to experiment with some more black and white still life images. The images are lit just using natural light from a large window, some fill in light was provided with a reflector and were set up on a table top, so it's easy to re-create in your own home. Here's one of the images that made it to print!
